This „was“ Holland: Erasmus+ Student Exchange: Radstädter Schülerinnen und Schüler in Voorburg.
Vom 10. bis 16. März folgten die Schülerinnen und Schüler der 6. Klassen der Einladung ihrer holländischen Gastfamilien und durften für eine Woche in eine ganz andere Kultur eintauchen und dabei ihre Englisch-Kenntnisse vertiefen.
Das Lehrerkollegium der Niederlande des St. Maartens College Voorburg hat dazu ein abwechslungsreiches, praxisbezogenes und völkerverbindendes Programm vorbereitet. Darunter waren Städtebesichtigungen wie Den Haag (Botschaften, Schnitzeljagd, Europäischer Gerichtshof, Nordsee, Kroketten- oder Hering-Essen, Scheveningen, Bowling), Rotterdam (Zentrum und Hafenanlage) und Amsterdam (Anne-Frank-Haus, 5D-Kino „This is Holland“, Pfannkuchen Boot, Damm und Zentrum) und gemeinsames künstlerisches Arbeiten wie das Designen von Holzklompen (Holzschuhen) unter Einbeziehung heimischer Künstler und typische Spiele der holländischen Kindheit. Die Projekterkenntnisse wurden dann in der Schule in Teams aufbereitet und dann beim Final Evening den Gastfamilien, dem Erasmus+-Team der Schule sowie den begleitenden Professoren Jakob Brandstätter und Karin Schaffer präsentiert. So nebenbei war auch ein internationaler Austausch mit den Schulpartnern aus Spanien und Slowenien möglich und dabei entstanden viele neue Projekt- und Unterrichtsideen.

From March 10th to 16th, the students of the 6th grades followed the invitation of their Dutch host families and had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a completely different culture for a week while deepening their English skills.
The teaching staff of the Netherlands at St. Maartens College Voorburg prepared a varied, practical, and culturally connecting program for this purpose. This included city tours such as The Hague (embassies, scavenger hunt, European Court of Justice, North Sea, croquette or herring meals, Scheveningen, bowling), Rotterdam (city centre and harbour logistics), and Amsterdam (Anne Frank House, 5D cinema „This is Holland“, pancake boat, dam, and city centre), as well as collaborative artistic work such as designing wooden clogs and typical games of Dutch childhood.
The project findings were then processed in teams at school and presented to the host families, the Erasmus+ team of the school, and the accompanying professors Jakob Brandstätter and Karin Schaffer during the Final Evening. Incidentally, an international exchange with school partners from Spain and Slovenia was also possible, resulting in many new project and teaching ideas.
